A Brief Introduction

Hi, I’m Allie Milot. A student, artist, marketer, writer, musician, daughter, and lover of cats. Although I seem to be a lot of things, all these things come together in great harmony when I begin to work. Digitally work.

Why am I writing this blog?

  • Because it will help me, along with others, track my growth as I journey through the digital marketing world.
  • Because technically I have to write, but I enjoy it so the requirement is no sweat.

I know a lot of people could simply go read my “About” page, however, as a reader, you made it this page and probably want me to share a bit about myself. You make an excellent point, and for that, I will introduce myself.

My name is Allie and I’m a rising senior at Concordia University Ann Arbor (CUAA). I plan on graduating in May 2021 with a degree in digital media design with an emphasis in communications. I am passionate about this degree, not only because I helped design the program, but also because it combines three things I love: art, communications, and marketing. These are extremely important aspects of any business that can bring success when used correctly and it can also bring great failure if done wrong.

Although I have worked for the CUAA marketing department for about three years now, I am currently a summer intern at Ann Arbor SPARK and I am a cohort at a local start-up in Ann Arbor known as MoxyTech. I plan to use my marketing and communications skills to help this company grow and communicate effectively with their consumers.

I am excited to begin this journey into the world of medical technology, rather than the world of academia that I have been in for the past three years. Throughout this summer, I will document on a weekly basis the work I am doing, how it relates to projects I have done in the past and share about future plans I have as well. That’s what this blog is for: to keep track of what I’m doing in a place that I can share with others. Happy reading!
